Welcome

Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy having a look around. My name is Nicola Potts and I have had over 30yrs experience working within the equine industry.

I am a fully qualified (and insured) Holistic Therapist based in The Scottish Borders.

If you’re looking to improve the overall health and

well-being of your horse or pony or yourself I can help.

I provide a range of therapies which include Sports massage, Swedish Massage, Acupressure and Magnetics. I like to combine these therapies as they enhance each other, and also work very well alongside traditional veterinary care.

I travel throughout the Scottish Borders and the surrounding areas including Northumberland and Cumbria.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.

Naughty or Uncomfortable?

Is your horse really being just naughty?

Or trying to tell you something in the only way it knows how?

Some of the signs to take notice of are:

reluctance to go forward

bucking, rearing, napping

biting, kicking and

abnormal behaviour

If disease or lameness has been ruled out, muscle spasms and tightness can lead to the above signs and reactions, and accussage can help alleviate these symptoms.

Accussage Can Help With:

  • Muscle pain, spasms, stiffness and tension

  • Relax your horse physically and mentally

  • Pain relief

  • Increased range of motion and flexibility

  • Help with a more efficient movement

  • Improves posture & muscle tone

  • Enhances circulation

  • Injury prevention

  • Increases elasticity in muscles

  • Increases the natural healing progress

Maintenance of Condition & Prevention of Injuries

Helps to keep your horse in peak physical condition and can help improve performance, reduce the occurrence of injuries and induce a feeling of well-being. Massage on a regular basis is a beneficial contributory factor in giving your horse the optimum chance to perform at his best. It is an excellent barometer for muscular health and allows intervention before a minor problem escalates.

Prevention is better than cure!

Preparation & Post Competition Care

Regular therapy sessions are effective in keeping your horse relaxed. They can be beneficial in preparing for exercise, enhancing performance, reduce muscle fatigue aiding a more rapid return to normal.

Can Help facilitate Healing & Shorten Recovery Period.

By preventing muscle atrophy, joint stiffness and maintaining muscle suppleness and tone it is of great benefit to horses on box rest.
