What Is Equine Reiki?

 

Equine Reiki, also known as horse healing, is a safe, gentle non-invasive hands-on healing therapy that balances the energy flow throughout the body. Reiki itself is the channelling of positive, healing energy that can do no harm. The healing energy flows into the horse through the practitioner's hands to the areas where it is needed. 

There are no needles or pressure used, just the lightest touch. yet it is a powerful, natural way of kick starting your horse's own body to self heal. Reiki/Healing is a complimentary therapy to treat and care for the physical, mental and emotional well being of the horse.

Reiki works on the electromagnetic energy field around the body, stimulating and accelerating the horse's natural healing process. Horses are particularly responsive to Reiki as they are very sensitive creatures.

What Are The Signs That It Is Working?

 
During the session you may notice the horse releasing energy. These signs include licking and chewing, twitching muscles, sighing, yawning or pawing the ground. You may also notice their eyes will soften, lips will droop and its quite common for them to actually fall asleep! As the energy is being moved throughout the body you may hear grumbling in their stomach and flatulence may occur.
